IN CASE OF FIRE
The guest rooms are on the ground floor, from which it is easy to exit.
The Garden Bedroom has a door opening directly into the garden. You have the key.
The windows can be opened and, as the room is on the ground floor, exit is possible through there.
The conservatory/ breakfast room door leads directly into the garden.
When the conservatory door is locked, the key to exit will be nearby.
There is an additional exit through the front door of the property, leading into Falmouth Road.
IF THERE IS A FIRE exit quickly and make your way to the bottom of the garden
OR if this is difficult, down the steps and across Barrack Lane to wait beside Lander's Monument.
There is a FIRE EXTINGUISHER in the bedroom- behind the door
A SMOKE DETECTOR is situated on the wardrobe in the Garden Bedroom (there are smoke detectors elsewhere in the building including the kitchen)
In your room there is a LAMP which is solar powered and not affected by power cuts
DOCTOR: The surgeries are across the road next to the Thomas Daniell pub.
A street lamp in Barrack Lane provides low level lighting in parts of the garden including the patio throughout the night. Lights come on automatically when you walk up or down the garden. There are three: one where the cars are parked, one on the slope by the pond and one to light the steps leading to the door into Barrack Lane.
The patio and steps can be SLIPPERY AFTER RAIN- care to be taken.
Indoors- There are no steps in the guest area.
Outside: There are six small steps up from the Barrack Lane gate into the garden. Each is about 17cm high. There is a handrail (and automatic light)
From the patio there is a single step (about 15cm) to the threshold entrance of the Garden Bedroom
From the patio There is a single step(about 12 cm) into the conservatory
There are no steps between the car park and the patio.
The big door from the back lane is operated by a remote control device which is attached to your door key. In the unlikely event that it fails to operate, the switch is on the wall to the right of the door. It can be switched off and then on, after which it will operate again. Failing that, there is a handle to operate it manually.
Please do not go uninvited into the main house- there is an alarm system which may well be set.
WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VALUABLE ITEMS LEFT IN YOUR ROOM -
